[Not too far down the beach Dualscar will encounter Summoner, sitting on the sand with his wings blanketing out over the ground behind him. He's kind of lost, staring at the water, and doesn't even glance Dualscar's way when he approaches. He knew he came through the elevator, but he didn't watch him through any animals after that. The commune count's been low lately, more interested in seeing for himself.]

Forgot how slow you scaly bastards are on land.

[A small chuckle, smiling to himself as he continues to watch the water.]

[The last thing he's interested in is being mocked, and Dualscar gives a defensive little snarl as he flops down on the sand beside him, putting the bag between them]

[Smirks, finally glancing at Dualscar with a raise of an eyebrow.]

[With that he turns in his seat, immediately tugging at the bag and leaning over to look inside.]

[He glares, but being alone is worse. Maybe, so he looks away]

[He pulls out a bottle, opens, and takes down a drink without a second thought before wiping his mouth, unaffected by the sting.]

Not much of a scotch man myself, but uh, this'll do.

[Caps it and tosses it Dualscar's way.]

[He catches it and takes a drink, growing more morose]

[He takes another drink, but he's not sure this is helping. Certainly this is making him feel worse, but he also doesn't want to leave. He misses Signless already with a crushing loneliness

With a suddenly harshness, he pushed the bottle at Summoner.]

It's not like before. He's not sleepin or dead, just gone. If he doesn't come back... I wwish I'd nevver fuckin' met that mutantblooded freak.

[Just opens the bottle and drinks.]

Signless had known how to get him talking about how he really felt without feeling as though he were admitting weakness. Before, he hadn't been willing to admit that he wasn't happy, and now it's just as hard to admit it to Summoner.]

[Summoner gives him a short glance, not replying to the little outburst. He's not sure he really wants to help Dualscar feel better, it's not that he doesn't care, hell, his heart aches for the guy, losing two of his quadrants so quickly. But it's-]

He scowls and takes the bottle, takes a draught from it and huddles over it a little in a territorial way]

[Said with a rather endearing smile as he stares out at the water.]

Sometimes I wonder if I'd uh, hah, if I could ever reach out to all of 'em. Or if I try will I die from the strain. [A sigh, leaning back a little, wings opening.]

It's still in debate if the whole death thing still makes it worth it.

[He's never really wondered this, but Summoner's words make him question it for the first time. What would it be like to touch the mind of another creature, even if it wasn't a troll. Mindfang could do it to trolls, and that would be even better.

I'd rather not knoww. [Though he's got some curiosity, the thought of actually having his mind touched by another terrifies him. He's seen Mindfang dominate others far too many times, and it seems too intimate, besides, even if he were the one in control]

They're not that dumb, uh... depending on what you speak to, heh. And advice? Well maybe nothing straight forward. [Pulls his knees up closer to his chest, resting an arm on them.]

But maybe I uh... I like them for being simple, for, the most part anyway. I know what to expect, and sometimes those simple emotions and drives can influence you a lot more than petty shit trolls do. [A rather heavy sigh, wings flickering.]

Innocence is something the intelligent are uh, not so familiar with. And I like reminding myself that it exists. Because I sure as hell aren't, and don't really deserve to be.

Ah- But that's all right, I accept what I got, eh?

[Smiles, gesturing for the bottle with a hand.]

I wwould a thought they'd be like dumb animals. Maybe you're just not that far awway from them, intellectually. [It's a shitty as hell joke, but it's said almost affectionately, and he'd have nudged the other troll's shoulder if it weren't for the enormous horns getting in the way.

He grimaces a little, then reluctantly hands the bottle over]

[He actually gets that tone in Dualscar's words and is a little surprised, giving him a smile and taking the bottle to take a swig of it, looking at the glass and swirling it around after wards.]

[Shrugs, handing the bottle back.]
